RESOLUTION NO. 2023-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE
ESTABLISHING AS A NEW COMMITTEE,
THE MARYSVILLE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
COMMITTEE
At a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 7th day of February 2023.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Marysville Administrative Code Section 182(c)(1) the City desires to establish an additional ad hoc committee which shall be named the “Marysville Growth and Development Committee”; and
WHEREAS, the City Council identifies the charge of the Marysville Growth and Development Committee as being the exploration of both internal and external land development opportunities, the recommendation of a development path for these recognize opportunities, and make recommendations of identified redevelopment regions to be implemented into specific plans in conjunction with the General Plan update; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Marysville that there is hereby established the Marysville Growth and Development Committee as an ad hoc committee of the Council. Pursuant to Section 182 of the Marysville Administrative Code this Committee shall consist of two members of the City Council, although the Committee is authorized and encouraged to solicit input from community leaders/experts as it may desire, the input of such persons being considered by the Committee and, as deemed advisable, such input shall be incorporated into recommendations presented to the City Council. The Committee is given the charge to (1) explore both internal and external land development opportunities; (2) create a development path for these recognize opportunities; and (3) make recommendations of identified redevelopment regions to be implemented into specific plans in conjunction with the General Plan update. This Committee shall continue until the earlier of the accomplishment of its tasks or one year after the adoption of this Resolution, absent earlier termination by the City Council or reauthorization for a continued existence pursuant to Marysville Administrative Code Section 182(c)(1).
