RESOLUTION NO. 2023-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, TO ACCEPT THE FEATHER RIVER AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT
DISTRICT COMMUNITY AIR PROTECTION GRANT
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 7th day of February 2023.
WHEREAS, the Marysville Public Works Department has a need to replace going stormwater pump engines management equipment to ensure reliable operation of pumping stations that remove storm water from the City; and
WHEREAS, the Feather River Air Quality Management District (FRAQMD) desires to replace older, high emission generating engines with modern, low emission units; and WHEREAS, the project total to purchase and install three new engines is estimated to be $317,400; and
WHEREAS, FRAQMD has awarded a grant to fund $234,600 of the costs of replacement of the three engines; and
WHEREAS, The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to sign and execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Marysville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Marysville that the herein known as the submittal and acceptance of the FRAQMD Community Air Protection Grant award as if fully set forth herein, is hereby ratified and approved.
