Subject: Approval to Accept 2022 Homeland Security Grant Funding Recommendation:

Pass a motion to 1) approve Chief of Police, or designee, to accept 2022 Homeland Security Grant award in the amount of $38,100, and 2) authorize the Finance Director to make the appropriate supplemental appropriations per the grant award.

Accepting this grant funding allows the Police Department to continue to provide essential equipment to Marysville Police and train regional partners.

The 2022 grant will provide the Department with the following equipment. • $30,000 – License Plate Reader Camera’s (LPR)
• $4,000 – Force Option Simulator Updates and Maintenance • $4,100- Dispatch Mapping and Software Upgrades
Fiscal Analysis:

With the award amount of $38,100 for Fiscal Year 2023-24, a supplemental appropriations to the proper revenue and expense accounts per the grant award documents will be adjusted accordingly within the General Fund. There is no City match and therefore no negative impact to the General Fund.
