RESOLUTION NO. 2023-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, TO ACCEPT THE VOLUNTEER FIRE CAPCITY GRANT AWARD At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 3rd day of November, 2023.
WHEREAS, the Marysville Fire Department has a need to purchase replacement wildland fire shelters and equipment; and
WHEREAS, Approving the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Agreement# 7GF23063 forservices from the date of last signatory on page 1 of the Agreement to June 30, 2024 under the Volunteer Fire Capacity Program of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978; and WHEREAS, the Marysville Fire Department recommends to accept the Volunteer Fire Capacity grant in the amount of $9,939 to be matched with Marysville Fire Department funds in the amount of $9,939; and
WHEREAS, the project total to purchase new wildland fire safety equipment will be $19,878; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to sign and execute said agreement on behalf of the city of Marysville Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Marysville that the herein known as the acceptance of the Volunteer Fire Capacity grant award as if fully set forth herein, is hereby ratified and approved.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of Marysville, County of Yuba, State of California, on the 7th day of November, 2023, by the following vote:
