Subject: Approve Support Services Manager Job Description Recommendation:
Pass a Motion to approve a job description for the Marysville Police Department Support Services Manager.
Rationale for Recommendation:
The attached job description has been updated, in an effort to meet the evolving needs of the City.
Background:
The Marysville Police Department conducted a review of departmental job descriptions and determined there was not an updated job classification for the Support Services Manager. The previous job description outlined duties, investigation of, and oversight of sworn personnel and that has been deleted from this job description as this position is non-sworn and will only oversee non-sworn personnel.
Discussion & Analysis:
The Marysville Police Department completed an analysis of the job functions and determined the outlined job description best presents the duties assigned to the Support Services Manager position. This job description is needed as this position is currently vacant and the Human Resources Manager needs to conduct the recruitment process.
Fiscal Impact:
This position is approved within the budget. No fiscal impact with the approval of the job description.
