Accomplishment Information
The FREED program was able to provide services to 104 of eligible participants. Theses services included vouchers for meals at local restuarants that met the nutrition requirements for the senior population. The program had options for delivery and pick-up. FREED worked to enroll as many participants as possible and held mulitple outreach efforts. When FREED realized that the amount requested for the program was more than they would be able to spend, the City and FREED were able to agree to a new funding amount to best serve the members of the community and further mitigate the effects of the pandemic on the most vulnerable population.
