RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRE
STATION ACCESSORY BUILDING REPLACEMENT PROJECT
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 5th day of March, 2024.
WHEREAS, the City of Marysville Fire Department circulated and publicly advertised in the Appeal Democrat newspaper on January 17 and January 24, 2024 an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to receive bids based on the Construction Bid Packet prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated January 9, 2024 as amended with Addendum No. 1 on February 13, 2024 and Addendum No. 2 on February 16, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City received 9 bids for this project on February 22, 2024 from United Building Contractors, Inc., ABS Builders, Inc., Rock Creek Construction, Inc., Plummerbuilt, Inc., Frank Webb Construction, Inc., 4J Construction Services, Inc., Hilbers, Inc., American River Construction, Inc., and Sauren Construction, Inc, and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received for the total project was from United Building Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $338,378 to construct the improvements identified in the bid schedule provided as shown in the Construction Bid Packet prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated January 9, 2024 as amended with Addendum No. 1 on February 13, 2024 and Addendum No. 2 on February 16, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Marysville approves to award a contract in the amount of $338,378 with United Building Contractors, Inc. for the construction of the Fire Station Accessory Building Replacement Project based on the Construction Bid Packet and authorizes the City Manager to execute the contract subject to clarifying and conforming changes approved by the City Attorney.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of Marysville, County of Yuba, State of California, on the 5th day of March 2024 by the following vote:
