Call to Order
The City of Marysville City Council meeting called to order by Mayor Branscum at 6:04 pm.
Roll Call
Present: Councilmembers Belza, Gilchrist, Hudson, Vice Mayor Buttacavoli and Mayor Branscum.
Absent: None.
Pledge of Allegiance (Mayor)
Changes to the Agenda (City Manager/City Clerk) – Presentation #1, by Ben Deal will not be heard tonight, but will return to a future meeting.

1. Approval of Accounts Payable
Recommendation: Passed Motion 2024-034 approving accounts payable in the amount of $303,250.41 for the period of February 24, 2024, through March 8, 2024.

2. Contract Amendment No. 1 with Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation Recommendation: Passed Motion 2024-035 authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to execute Amendment No. 1 to add an additional $110,000 to the existing Professional Services Agreement with the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation (YSEDC) in an amount not to exceed $220,000 to continue the business grant program and administration costs.

3. General Plan Annual Progress Reports
Recommendation: Passed Motion 2024-036 and Resolution No. 2024-11 1) accepting the 2023 General Plan and Housing Element Annual Progress Reports, and 2) direct staff to transmit the reports to the State’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) and Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).

Comments/Requests: Bok Kai was great, attended the Sui Sing Dinner in Sacramento and saw how important the Sister City program is.
Councilmember Hudson – Heard 3rd

Comments/Requests: Bok Kai was great, the events on Sunday went well, will not be here for the next meeting, thank you Staff.
Vice Mayor Buttacavoli – Heard 4th
Committee Reports: None.
Comments/Requests: Thank you Kathy, thank you to your staff as well thank you City Staff.
Mayor Branscum – Heard 5th
Committee Reports: None.
Comments/Requests: Bok Kai was wonderful, Riff Washburn passed away recently, his family was a long-time local business owner of Bradley’s Department Store for over 80 years at 5th and D Streets.
Council Correspondence (City Clerk) - Thank you Mayor, each Councilmember has a notice from Yuba Sutter Stand Down 2024 Veteran’s Resource Fair for August 15-17, 2024, this information is in your inbox here at City Hall.
City of Marysville Regular Meeting Minutes 03/19/2024 Page 3 of 3 City Manager’s Report (City Manager Schaad) – Thursday at 3rd events are doing well, there will be a developer’s tour on April 12th , on April 3rd, the Moai walking group will kick off; the Drakes will start their season shortly.
