REFERENCES
Jerry Handy from 4J Construction Services was hired by Yuba City Unified School District as a project manager to oversee two major projects at different school sites. Both projects were very similar in nature to construct a gym, stage, classrooms, and extensive site work. The budget for both projects was over $18 million.
Jerry brought extensive construction management experience to the projects. Early in the projects, both the DSA inspeclor and material testing agency were replaced. This transition was especially managed smoothly thanks to Jerry's role as project manager. Jerry did an excellent job coordinating construction activities with the District. Architect, Engineers, DSA inspectors. and local governing agencies. The projects were completed within budget but the schedule was delayed not because of Jerry's work but due to weather and contractor coordination.
We really appreciated working with 4J Construction Services. They are very professional and provide excellent expertise in all phases of construction. I would have no reservations in recommending or working with them on future projects.
Mark Button | Director of Facilities
Yuba City Unified School District
Please allow me to offer my personal and professional recommendation for Jerry Handy with 4J Construction Services. The Linda Fire Protection District (LFPD) is an independent Fire District in unincorporated Yuba County. Recently, LFPD decided to pursue building a new administration building. Jerry has been instrumental in the success of this 5-million-dollar project.
Jerry has been involved with this project from the very beginning of our project. Jerry has helped with preliminary estimates, bid specs, design meetings, permitting, and construction management. Jerry remains engaged and is very sensitive to the owner's needs while making sure we get the best product.
Jerry set a very high standard for construction management and has a very well-rounded knowledge of the construction industry. Jerry understands public project's needs, and regulations making sure all In closing. I again offer my recommendation for Jerry Handy/4j construction. In my professional opinion, Jerry Handy/4J has proven their dedication and passion for construction management and the success of projects.
Kyle Headstrom | Chief
Linda Fire Protection Districtt
I am writing this letter to share the appreciation and respect that 1 and my firm have for Jerry Handy and the entire 4J Construction Services team. I have most recently worked with Jerry while he and his team supported our mutual client, Yuba City Unified School District, on two challenging $5 million Gymnasium Projects.
Jerry was incredibly diligent in his support of the projects and his efforts in managing the construction phase for the school district saved the district thousands of dollars in undocumented change order and construction delay claims. Jerry's demeanor and professionalism make working with him easy and his experience and knowledge of the construction process makes him a uniquely valuable resource for any owner that is lucky enough to have him on their team. Jerry and 4J Construction Services are demonstrably committed to fully supporting their clients and the broader community. We have enjoyed working with 4J Construction Services and we highly recommend Jerry and his team to any organization that is looking for high quality Construction Management or Construction Consulting support.
