Item #10
Date: June 4, 2024
To: Mayor and City Council
From: Jennifer Styczynski, Finance Director
Jim Schaad, City Manager
Subject: State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Resolution Recommendation:
Pass a Motion to approve Resolution No. 2024-XX authorizing the City Manager, or their designee, to accept and enter into a CDBG grant agreement.
Rationale for Recommendation:
The State is asking for the Resolution already approved and signed by the City Council on February 27, 2024, for the 2023 CDBG Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) Amendment #1. The original Resolution was presented in the City’s format whereas the California Housing and Community Development (HCD), who is administering the grant, has requested the Resolution be in their format. This is an administrative cleanup only as the City has been conditionally awarded the grant and this is one of the last steps to move towards a signed agreement.
Alignment with City Council Goal(s):
The grant for CDBG Funds supports City Council Goal #3: Improve Infrastructure.
Fiscal Analysis:
There will be no fiscal impact on the General Fund as this is an administrative clean-up only.
