Item #05
Date: September 3, 2024
To: Mayor and City Council
From: Vincenzo S. Corazza, Public Works Director
Jason Zumalt, Public Works Manager
Jim Schaad, City Manager
Subject: City-Owned Property Declared Surplus
Recommendation:

Pass a Motion to approve the retirement of a 2007 John Deere Riding Lawnmower to be declared surplus.

Rationale for Recommendation:

Authorizing the motion will allow staff to surplus the 2007 John Deere Riding Lawnmower, ID # GX0120A010303, due to being obsolete and the expense of necessary repairs.

Background:

The City of Marysville routinely retires tangible property used in City Departments due to inoperability, obsolescence, or expense of maintenance.

Discussion & Analysis:

This action is to seek Council approval for the retirement of the attached riding lawnmower. Staff will be bringing a request at a future Council meeting for an upcoming Feather River Air Quality Management District (FRAQMD) trade-in voucher program where, if approved, this retired riding lawnmower will be traded in for a new electric riding lawnmower.

Fiscal Analysis:

There is no fiscal impact to approve the retirement of the riding lawnmower.
