Subject: Fisher & Phillips LLP Agreement
Recommendation:
Pass a Motion to ratify an agreement with the firm Fisher and Phillips LLP for specialized legal services.
Discussion & Analysis:
The City entered a legal retainer with Fisher & Phillips LLP, on September 17, 2025. The purpose of the retainer is for specialized legal services regarding labor and law advice to assist on anticipated litigation.
Fiscal Analysis:
While it is difficult to determine the overall cost at this point in time, staff recommends initial appropriations from the general fund in an amount of $50,000.
