RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE
TO APPOINT JERAMY CHAPDELAINE AS CHIEF BUILDING OFFICIAL (CBO) OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1, 2025 At a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 16th day of December, 2025.
WHEREAS, a vacancy in the Public Works Director position occurred on June 1, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the City conducted a recruitment and staff determined that in addition to experience in Public Works, Mr. Chapdelaine possessed extensive professional background in building inspection, permitting, and plan review; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Chapdelaine indicated he was willing to perform the CBO function for the City upon renewal of the required state certifications; and WHEREAS, Mr. Chapdelaine has since completed the necessary recertification courses; and
WHEREAS, currently this service is provided by 4-Leaf and will be retained as a backup provider in the event of Mr. Chapdelaine’s absence; and WHEREAS, Mr. Chapdelaine will also directly supervise the City’s newly hired Building Inspector (recently insourced).
