RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE DEVELOPMENT
COMMITTEE AS A STANDING COMMITTEE TO THE CITY COUNCIL
At a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 3
rd day of February, 2026.
WHEREAS, Sections 181 and 182 of the Marysville Administrative Code authorize the City Council to establish standing committees by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a Development Committee to assist the City Council in the review of development-related matters; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Marysville as follows:
1. Standing Committee Established.
The Development Committee is hereby established as a standing committee of the City Council.
2. Purpose.
The purpose of the Development Committee is to review and discuss matters related to economic development, land use and redevelopment initiatives, housing development, major development proposals, and policies intended to encourage private investment within the City, and to provide advisory recommendations to the City Council.
3. Advisory Role.
The committee serves in an advisory capacity only.
4. Appointments.
Members of the committee shall be appointed by the Mayor.
5. Meetings.
The committee shall meet as needed, but not less than once per year, and shall conduct meetings in compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act.
6. Term.
The committee is established for a term not to exceed four (4) years unless reauthorized by the City Council.
