RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE RECREATION
DEPARTMENT DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE AS A STANDING
COMMITTEE TO THE CITY COUNCIL
At a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 3
rd day of February, 2026.
WHEREAS, Sections 181 and 182 of the Marysville Administrative Code authorize the City Council to establish standing committees by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council previously established the Recreation Department Development Committee by Resolution No. 2021-09; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to reauthorize the Recreation Department Development Committee for a new term;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Marysville as follows:
1. Standing Committee Established.
The Recreation Department Development Committee is hereby established as a standing committee of the City Council and continues the function of the former Parking & Traffic Committee.
2. Purpose.
The purpose of the committee is to review and discuss matters related to the planning, development, improvement, and funding of recreation facilities and programs, including partnerships, grants, and capital projects associated with the City’s recreation system, and to provide advisory recommendations to the City Council.
3. Advisory Role.
The committee serves in an advisory capacity only.
4. Appointments.
Members of the committee shall be appointed by the Mayor.
5. Meetings.
The committee shall meet as needed, but not less than once per year, and shall conduct meetings in compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act.
6. Term.
The committee is established for a term not to exceed four (4) years unless reauthorized by the City Council.
