Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 6:00 pm
Call to Order
The City of Marysville City Council meeting called to order by Mayor Branscum at 6:00 pm.
Roll Call
Present: Councilmember Rollins, Councilmember Gilchrist, Councilmember Hudson, and Mayor Branscum.
Absent: Vice Mayor Buttacavoli
Closed Session Report (City Attorney) – No Reportable Action.

1. Adjustment to City Council Compensation
Passed Motion 2026-018 to waive the second reading of Ordinance 1468 amending Section 2.32.030 of the Marysville Municipal Code to increase City Council compensation from $300 per month to $585 per month, effective following the November 2026 General Municipal Election and swearing-in of Council Members.

Mayor opened the meeting for Public Comment and continued the discussion to the June 2, 2026 Recommendation: The Planning Commission recommends that the City Council amend Section 18.98 of the City of Marysville’s Municipal Code and amend the Downtown Specific Plan (Table 4.2) to allow automobile uses in the Mixed-Use Corridor (MU-C) with a Conditional Use Permit and Commercial Recreation Facility-Indoor (entertainment uses) in the Mixed-Use Neighborhood (MU-N) Zoning districts with a Conditional Use permit.
Specifically the City Council 1) review the attached Ordinance amending Chapter 18.98 of the City of Marysville’s Municipal Code to allow automobile uses in the Mixed-Use Corridor (MU-C) with a Use Permit and Commercial Recreation Facility-Indoor (entertainment uses) in the Mixed-Use Neighborhood (MU-N) Zoning districts with a Use permit and 2) waive the first reading and schedule June 2, 2026 for the second reading.
