RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE
BINNEY JUNCTION SEWER MAIN RELOCATION PROJECT
CONTRACT NO. 26-01
At a meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 21st day of July, 2026.
WHEREAS, the City of Marysville Public Works Department circulated and publicly advertised in the Appeal Democrat newspaper on June 25, 2026, a Notice to Bidders to receive bids based on the improvement plans prepared by Wood Rodgers for Caltrans and construction documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated June 17, 2026.
WHEREAS, the City received four (4) bids for this project on July 16, 2026, Newland Entities Inc., Ranger Pipeline Incorporated, ARB, Inc., Stephen S. Rados.
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received for the total project, base bid, was from Newland Entities Inc. in the amount of $1,064,536.00 to construct the improvements identified in the bid schedule provided as shown on the improvement plans prepared by Wood Rodgers for Caltrans and construction documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated June 17, 2026, as modified by Addendum No. 1 dated July 13, 2026, and Addendum No. 2 dated July 14, 2026.
WHEREAS, upon review of the lowest responsive bid received, staff recommended awarding the base bid from Newland Entities Inc. for a total award amount of $1,064,536.00 to construct the improvements identified in the bid schedule provided as shown on the improvement plans prepared by Wood Rodgers for Caltrans and construction documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated June 17, 2026, as modified by Addendum No. 1 dated July 13, 2026 and Addendum No. 2 dated July 14, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Marysville approves to award a contract in the amount of $1,064,536.00with Newland Entities Inc. for the construction of the Binney Junction Sewer Main Relocation - Contract No. 26-01 based on the Improvement Plans and Contract Documents and authorizes the City Manager to execute the contract subject to clarifying and conforming changes approved by the City Attorney.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of Marysville, County of Yuba, State of California, on the 21st day of July, 2026 by the following vote:
