RESOLUTION NO. 2025-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AWARDS FOR THE COMMUNITY SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025
WHEREAS, the City of Marysville recognizes the contributions of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that provide valuable services, events, and programs enhancing the quality of life for Marysville residents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Community Sponsorship Policy on October 20, 2020, to provide limited, fair, and transparent financial support to qualified community organizations; and
WHEREAS, for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025, a total budget of $5,000 was allocated for Community Sponsorship awards; and
WHEREAS, the City received 7 approved applications for sponsorship funding, each requesting the maximum allowable amount of $714.29 per qualified application; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the applications and desires to award sponsorship amounts to the qualified applicants in accordance with the Community Sponsorship Policy and available budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council hereby approves the award amounts for the 7 qualified applicants to the Community Sponsorship Program for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 as detailed in the staff report dated July 15, 2025.
2. The Finance Director is authorized to allocate funds in accordance with the approved award amounts and to process disbursements consistent with City policies and procedures.
3. The Community & Economic Development Director is authorized to administer the program and coordinate future application cycles, with the next round of applications due March 31 annually.
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of Marysville, County of Yuba, State of California, on the 15th day of July 2025 by the following vote:
