RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE
ELLIS LAKE PARK ENHANCEMENT PROJECT - 25-10
At a meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 1 st day of September 2026.
WHEREAS, the City of Marysville Public Works Department circulated and publicly advertised in the Appeal Democrat newspaper on July 17, 2026 and July 30, 2026, a Notice to Bidders to receive bids based on the improvement plans prepared by Wood Rodgers for Caltrans and construction documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated June 23, 2026.
WHEREAS, the City received nine (9) bids for this project on Augst 13, 2026, TJR Resources, Inc., Abide Builders, Inc., PBM Construction, Inc., R & R Horn Contractors, Inc., Builder Solutions, Inc., McGuire & Hester, Inc., B&M Civil LLC dba B&M Builders, CSI Services Inc., and Odin Environmental Solutions LLC dba Odin.
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received for the total project, base bid, was from TJR Resources, Inc. in the amount of $2,983,858.81 based on the unit prices provided to construct the improvements identified in the bid item list provided as shown on the improvement plans prepared and construction documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated June 23, 2026, as modified by Addendum No. 1 dated August 4, 2026, and Addendum No. 2 dated August 10, 2026.
WHEREAS, upon review of the lowest responsive bid received, staff recommended awarding the base bid from TJR Resources, Inc. for a total award amount of $2,983,858.81 to construct the improvements identified in the bid schedule provided as shown on the improvement plans and construction documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated June 23, 2026, as modified by Addendum No. 1 dated August 4, 2026, and Addendum No. 2 dated August 10, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Marysville approves to award a contract in the amount of $2,983,858.81 with TJR Resources, Inc. for the construction of the ELLIS LAKE PARK ENHANCEMENT PROJECT - 25-10 based on the Improvement Plans and Contract Documents and authorizes the City Manager to execute the contract subject to clarifying and conforming changes approved by the City Attorney.
