1 RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE APPROVING
THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING REGARDING THE YUBA-SUTTER REGIONAL SWAT TEAM.
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on October 20, 2026.
WHEREAS, the Yuba-Sutter Regional SWAT Team currently operates pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding between the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, the Yuba City Police Department, the Yuba City Fire Department, Bi-County Ambulance, and the Linda Fire Protection District; and
WHEREAS, the Yuba-Sutter Regional SWAT Team was formed in 2018 to increase personnel and equipment resources needed during critical incidents requiring the activation of a SWAT team; and
WHEREAS, the City of Marysville Police Department has been a previous participant in the Yuba-Sutter Regional SWAT team; and
WHEREAS, renewing the Memorandum of Understanding and including the Marysville Police Department as a participating member of the Yuba-Sutter Regional SWAT Team would continue to best serve our communities by combining resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Marysville as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the Memorandum of Understanding for participation in the Yuba-Sutter Regional SWAT Team, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to execute the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the City, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney and is further authorized to approve non-material amendments that are consistent with the terms and intent of the Memorandum of Understanding.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. 2 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of Marysville, County of Yuba, State of California, October 20, 2026, by the following vote:
