Mayor Marquez recognized Flor Aguiluz for her dedication and service while serving as City Clerk.
RECOGNITION OF ANA FIGUEROA, THANKING HER FOR HER SERVICE TO THE CITY
OF MAYWOOD AS THE DISTRICT CHIEF OF STAFF FOR CONGRESSWOMAN LUCILLE ROYBAL-ALLARD (CA-40)
Mayor Marquez recognized Ana Figueroa for her years of service to Maywood during her tenure as District Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40).

Deputy Aguayo presented crime trends and updates for the City of Maywood.

Motion to approve Minutes of February 23, 2022 City Council Meeting by De La Riva. Second by Lara. AYES: De La Riva, Lara, Torres, Garcia, Marquez . PASSES
2. RESOLUTION NO. 6226 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MAYWOOD AND
SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE MAYWOOD COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROVING THE WARRANTS FOR PAYMENT
Motion to adopt Resolution No. 6226 of the City Council of the City of Maywood and Successor Agency to the Maywood Community Redevelopment Agency Approving the Warrants for Payment by De La Riva. Second by Lara. AYES: De La Riva, Lara, Torres, Garcia, Marquez . PASSES
IX. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS
3. DISCUSSION OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE COVID-19 STATE OF EMERGENCY
TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE LEGISLATIVE BODIES OF THE CITY OF MAYWOOD
WILL CONTINUE TO HOLD MEETINGS VIA TELECONFERENCING AND MAKING FINDINGS PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54953(e)(3).
Motion to make the findings under the provision of the Government Code to meet in person will present imminent risk to the health and safety of the attendees and therefore, to continue the virtual format for an additional 30 days and continue to allow the City's Legislative Bodies to hold meetings via teleconference under 54953(e)(3) by Mayor Pro Tem Garcia. Second by De La Riva. AYES: De La Riva, Lara, Torres, Garcia, Marquez . PASSES
4. RESOLUTION NO. 6227 APPROVING THE TERMS OF A PRIVATE PLACEMENT,
APPROVING THE FORM OF AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A
SITE LEASE, A LEASE AGREEMENT, A TRUST AGREEMENT, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN
ACTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES
OF PARTICIPATION IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,600,000, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN PROFESSIONALS, AND OTHER MATTERS
RELATING THERETO
Motion to adopt Resolution No. 6227 of the City Council of the City of Maywood Approving the Terms of a Private Placement, Approving the Form of and Authorizing the Execution and Delivery of a Site Lease, A Lease Agreement, A Trust Agreement, Authorizing Certain Actions in Connection with the Execution and Delivery of Certificates of Participation in the Aggregate Principal Amount not to Exceed $2,600,000, Authorizing Certain Professionals, and other matters relating thereto by De La Riva.
