1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Pro Tem Marquez called the meeting to order at 5:09 PM. Deputy City Clerk Miguel Leon conducted the roll call. Present were Mayor Pro Tem Marquez, Council Member De La Riva, Council Member Flores, and Council Member Garcia. Mayor Aguiluz arrived late at 5:12 P.M.

N. MAYOR, COUNCILMEMBERS AND STAFF COMMENTS
The Mayor announced that public participation on agenda items was now open, with a 3-minute time limit per speaker. Deputy City Clerk Miguel Leon confirmed there were no public comments on agenda items. The Mayor then closed public participation on agenda items.
V. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION (Agenda Items; Time allotted: 3 minutes) Speakers wishing to address the City Council on an item on the agenda may use the instructions provided in section III. MEETING PROCEDURES beginning on page 1 of this agenda.
No public participation.
VI. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS
1. PRESENTATION OF THE PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 BUDGET AND
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM LIST
Mayor Pro Tem Marquez asked City Manager Vasquez and Finance Director Rimo Hanson to provide a presentation and report on the proposed Fiscal year 2025-2026 budget, highlight projected expenditures against revenues, and expected surplus to City's budget.
VII. ADJOURNMENT - Mayor Aguiluz adjourned the meeting at approximately 5:48p.m. The next Regular Meeting of the Maywood City Council is May 28, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers.
