A. Administration- Kenny Williams, Chief of Police/ City Manager • Camera Infrastructure
• Villa Del Caribe Transfer
• CFD's Levy
*Camera infrastructure- Chief Williams updated Council on the status of the nine network cameras being installed within the City of McFarland to help with public safety. Councilmen Cano and Councilmen S.
Ayon instructed staff to proceed as fast as possible in the completion of the installation despite the cost due to the increase in recent shootings within the city and their concern for the safety of the residents.
Councilmember S. Ayon requested the company continue work as soon as tomorrow.
Chief asked Council if he was to have them proceed with the installation in the amount of $39,000 or at the rate of time and material? Mayor S. Tafoya responded to move forward with the installation at the price of the $39,000 saying we need them installed right away. Councilmember Cano followed Mayor Tafoya's comment by stating, "safety over money" and that safety is more important than money at this point. Chief Williams directed Public Works Director Gonzales to contact the company and inform them to proceed with the entire contract ($39,000). Gonzales responded that he messaged the electrician to be at work tomorrow.
