Mayor Pro Tem Pérez called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

ADMINISTRATIVE AGENDA
1. Report, Discuss and Provide Direction as to Which Insurance Broker, Benefit Solutions or HUB International the City Would like to Use for its Employee Insurance Medical Plans. - Councilmember Cano motioned to select Benefit Solutions as the City of McFarland's Medical Insurance Broker; 2nd by: Councilmember A. Ayon.

City Manager/Chief of Police Williams gave brief explanation on events that took place at the Regular City Council Meeting of November 23, 2022, when Council mistakenly selected the wrong medical insurance broker (item number 7 on the Amended Agenda).
Councilmember S. Ayon stated that he made the mistake of calling out HUB International as the broker the city wanted to work with believing that medical insurance representative Eric Trost worked for HUB, therefore selecting the incorrect broker to work with. Council then contacted City Manager Williams and requested item be brought back before them to clarify and select the correct broker they had originally wanted Benefits Solutions.
