A motion was made by Council Member Rosales to adopt the agenda, seconded by Council Member Alonso; unanimously approved (5 ayes).
CITIZENS ORAL AND WRITTEN PRESENTATIONS
Kevin Romero provided an update on local youth sports.
Discussion was held on the updated provided by Mr. Romero.

A motion was made by Council Member Rosales to approve item 1, seconded by Council Member Alonso; unanimously approved (5 ayes).
CONSENT CALENDAR

TOTAL FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL - $1,221 ,777.20
Proposed adoption of Resolution No. 23-68, supporting and implementing timely use of funding in the matter of project delivery schedules for federal transportation project selection.
A request was made to pull Consent Calendar item 3 for discussion.
A motion was made by Council Member Riofrio to approve items 1 and 2, seconded by Council Member Rosales; unanimously approved (5 ayes).
Proposed adoption of Resolution No. 23-69, approving an lnterim Finance Director employment agreement between Rudy Marquez and the City of Mendota under Government Code Section 21221(H) effective October 2,2023.

A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Lopez to approve Consent Calendar item 3, seconded by Council Member Alonso; approved (4 ayes, no: Rosales).
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL _ ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (d) of Government Code section 54956.9 (two potential cases).
At 4:16 p.m. the City Council moved into closed session At 5:16 p.m. the City Council reconvened in open session (with Council Member Rosales absent) and City Manager Gonzalez stated that in regard to item 1 of the closed session there was no reportable action.
