RE: Bid Recommendation for Community Center Pre-Engineered Metal Building Dear Mendota City Council and Mr. Gonzalez,
Following the bid opening for the Community Center Pre-Engineered Metal Building on June 20, 2025, we have reviewed the submitted proposals in accordance with the project’s bidding requirements. A total of 2 bids were received. After evaluating the bids based on responsiveness, completeness, and compliance with the contract documents, we recommend awarding the contract to SAS Constructions with a base bid of $2,500,000.
This recommendation is based on the following:
• The bid amount submitted is aligned with the scope of work. • The bid was the lowest responsive and responsible submission. • All required documentation, including bid bond and licensing, were provided. • The contractor has a proven track record with similar projects.
Please let us know if you have any questions or require further clarification.
Sincerely,
Wendy Wilson
Sr. Project Manager
