1. Naples Street improvements (STBG)
a. Civil design underway. Council presentation on unique ADA design features will be provided in September.

a. “Downtown Design Features” (Shade structures at benches, additional landscape, ADA upgrades, Drinking fountains)

3. Alley Repaving Project (CMAQ)
a. Civil design underway. PS&E target completion by Winter 2026/ 2027 b. Target construction window (Summer 2027)
4. Welcome Sign Reconstruction
a. Render alternatives presented to council 8/3/2026.
b. Once final design concept is completed, further coordination will begin.
5. Safe Routes to School 2026/2027
a. Begin design in fall 2026.
b. Includes:
• 11,000 square feet of new concrete sidewalk
• 1 Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB)
• 9 Advanced Warning Signs
• Tra=ic Signing, Striping, and Pavement Markings
• 12’ Wide Raised Concrete Median with Landscaping
• 25 accessible curb ramps
Parks
1. Airport Park Master Plan
a. Phase 1 & master plan design to begin in August 2026. Currently working on proposal to define project scope and schedule.
b. Council presentation in fall 2026 on preliminary layout and design features.
2. Rojas Park Improvements (CDBG)
a. $143,992 in 2026/2027, $150,000 in 2027/2028
b. Site lighting, restroom & concession stand.
c. Carry over 2026/2027 funds to following year for better potential.
Planning
1. Development Impact Fee Update
a. Target completion by end of 2026
2. Mendota MSR
a. MSR underway. Target for LAFCO submittal November 2026.
3. APN 013-123-03 Rezone
a. General plan amendment and rezoning In process beginning July 2026. b. Entitlement schedule is estimated for 6 months from start to completion.
Grant Applications
1. SS4A Grant Application
a. Submitted 5/26/2026 for $312,500
b. Corridor study for Belmont Avenue
2. ATP Application (Derrick Ave Pedestrian Improvement) a. Submittal on June 22, 2026, for $1,330,360
b. Includes HAWK ped crossing at 6th street, RRFB’s at 5th Street and Median Island Refuge in front of McCabe Elementary
