RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Placeworks Inc. to extend the term of the agreement through June 30, 2024 for the Inclusionary Housing Feasibility Study and Housing Market Study.
DISCUSSION
On February 15, 2023, the City Council approved the Professional Services Agreement with Placeworks Inc. for the Inclusionary Housing Feasibility Study and Housing Market Study for a total cost of $84,988. This agreement was funded by two accounts; the Inclusionary Housing Feasibility Study was funded by the Local Early Action Planning (“LEAP”) Grant (Account No. 301-4330-52841) and the Housing Market Study was funded by Account No. 100-4330-52800 Professional Services (Community Development).
Due to an unexpected delay, staff is requesting an amendment to allow Placeworks, Inc. additional time to complete the two studies. Staff will present all findings to the Planning Commission and City Council upon completion. No amendment to the contract cost is proposed.
