A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MENIFEE, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CONSOLIDATED
ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 AS PART OF THE END-OF-THE-YEAR REQUIREMENT PROVIDED TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT UNDER
THE ENTITLEMENT GRANTEE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Menifee (City) participates in the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and WHEREAS, the City received CDBG funds in the Fiscal Year 2023/2024; and WHEREAS, HUD requires the City to prepare and submit a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the CDBG program within 90 days of the close of the fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the City of Menifee, as required by HUD, duly published notice of, and conducted a public hearing to obtain the views of citizens on the CAPER for Fiscal Year 2023/2024; and WHEREAS, on September 18, 2024, the City Council of the City of Menifee reviewed the draft CAPER and approved the report, including any comments and responses to the comments that are accepted at the hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Menifee, California:
declare as follows:
Section 1.Approve the CAPER for Fiscal Year 2023/2024, a copy of which is on file with the City Clerk of Menifee.
Section 2.Staff is authorized and directed to submit the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 CAPER to HUD as required.
Section 3.This Resolution shall take effect upon the date of its adoption.
