Statement:

My name is Ben Diederich, and I'm a proud father, public servant, and Menifee business owner. My family moved out here over 30 years ago and I attended MSJC, obtaining my A.S. in Math before moving on with my education. I transferred to UCSD where I studied Molecular Biology. I moved back to the area and worked at a biotech firm in Temecula. I then decided to become a Patent Attorney and enrolled at USC Law School - commuting from out here. when my daughter was starting school (she's 14 now, I knew I wanted to come back to raise her here and bought a house in Audie Murphy Ranch ten years ago.

I moved my law practice out here and opened my own firm, the Law office of Benjamin Diederich, nine years ago.

Ever since moving back, I jumped into community service. I've served on the Menifee Chamber of Commerce board, working my way up to vice-chair during my term, I've served on the board of the Temecula Valley Symphony, and on the Santa Rosa Academy school board. I currently serve on the City's Planning Commission, having been first appointed by Matt Liesemeyer six years ago, served as the Chair previously, before being re-appointed by Dean Deines and presently serving as the Vice-Chair.

I regularly volunteer my own time and have sponsored various community events, including the first ever All-Star Field Day with the school district, hosting a back to school supply drive, sponsoring the Southwest Riverside County Pitch Contest for local innovators, and regularly donate my services to local organizations and charities, such as Rotary, Santa Rosa Academy, among others.

I ran for the 2nd District seat two years ago, coming in second (out of four), where I earned the endorsements of the City Council at the time, the Planning Commission, the Menifee Police officer's Association, the Riverside Sheriffs' Association, cal Fire, and I love Menifee, and I love to serve our community. That is what drives me to serve the residents by being on City Council, both two years ago and today. It's not about me, it's about all of us. I live here, my daughter goes to school here, and I own a business here, employing and assisting other Menifee residents. I want the best for Menifee going forward. I look forward to ensuring the safety and happiness of Menifee residents and hope to help smartly grow the city with additional amenities, entertainment options, and high quality jobs that will allow residents to live, work, and play right here in Menifee, Tike I do.
