My name is Jeff White, and I am writing to formally express my interest in serving on the Menifee City Council to represent District 2. I have been a dedicated resident of District 2 in Menifee for the past nine years. Prior to this, i graduated from Paloma Valley High School in 2003. In 2004, I moved to Murrieta and began my career as an Automotive Technician. During my time in Murrieta, I worked my way up from a car washer to an Automotive Technician at the Murrieta Mitsubishi Dealer, gaining valuable skills and experience along the way.

My career progressed significantly when I joined UPS as a fleet technician, where I was selected from 100 candidates.

Over eight years, I developed expertise in various fuel systems, including electric, gas, diesel, CNG, LNG, propane, and hydrogen fuel vehicles. I successfully managed a fleet of 62 vehicles, improving reliability and reducing costs. This role required me to be self-taught, with minimal formal schooling provided by the manufacturer, which honed my ability to learn and adapt quickly.

I then advanced to a management position at UPS, overseeing the second-largest repair facility in California. In this role, I managed a budget of $3.5 million and was responsible for 24 technicians and a large fleet of vehicles, including 255 heavy-duty tractors, 45 spotters, and 323 package cars, along with a trailer shop. My responsibilities included budget management, parts supply, technician training, and ensuring operational efficiency. Managing such a significant budget required meticulous tracking and smart decision-making to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of service.

My experience at UPS has honed my skills in public interaction, budget management, and leadership. I have also received press training, enabling me to communicate effectively with the media. Additionally, I volunteer as a baseball coach for Menifee Valley Pony Baseball, where I mentor young athletes and teach them valuable life skills. Coaching has allowed me to develop strong relationships with both the youth and their parents, emphasizing the importance of accountability, teamwork, and perseverance.

I believe my skills and experience make me a strong candidate for the Menifee City Council. I am committed to promoting growth in Menifee while preserving its rural charm. My vision includes developing entertainment options, parks, and trails, as well as enhancing public services such as police, fire, and emergency services. Growth brings new opportunities and value to our city, but it is essential to remain connected to our roots and ensure that Menifee continues to feel like home for all its residents.

I am eager to bring my expertise in budgeting, public interaction, and leadership to the Menifee City Council. I am confident that I can effectively address the concerns of residents and contribute to the continued growth and development of our community. My goal is to find cost-effective and reasonable solutions to the challenges we face, always prioritizing the needs and well-being of our residents.

Thank you for considering my application. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve on the Menifee City Council and am committed to making a positive impact on our community.

Sincerely,
Jeff White
