RECOMMENDED ACTION

1. Receive a presentation from staff on the feasibility of paving dirt roads throughout the City; and

2. Discuss and provide direction to staff for future actions, if any.

DISCUSSION
On June 22, 2024, the City Council requested a future agenda item be planned for staff to provide information on the feasibility of paving existing dirt roads within the City. Due to the technical evaluation and financial resources required to do a comprehensive city-wide feasibility study, staff has prepared an initial presentation to provide the City Council with a foundational understanding of the following:
•Current dirt road inventory.
•Regulatory requirements associated with paving projects. •Potential costs for paving.

Following a presentation on the topics listed above, City Council discussion and direction would determine next actions, if any.
