WHEREAS, the City of Menifee recognizes that Riverside County has become a hub of innovation, technology and entrepreneurial activities that needs to be highlighted and shared throughout California. The City of Menifee recognizes and acknowledges the value of creating an environment that helps support innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. With many great advances in these fields, City of Menifee will proclaim the month of April 2025 as Innovation Month; and WHEREAS, Riverside County is the fourth largest county in California and encompasses twenty-eight cities, numerous Tribal Governments, and several major universities and esteemed community colleges.
Riverside County is home to March Air Reserve Base and the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Corona Division, who work closely with our educational institutions and offer entrepreneurial opportunities with military research, development, and technology transfer; and WHEREAS, our thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem is forged through partnerships with businesses, cities, chambers of commerce, and strategic partners that help make Riverside County a place for innovation and entrepreneurship; and
WHEREAS, several innovative and entrepreneurial activities and events are scheduled throughout Riverside County in the month of April and will be featured on a calendar managed by the Riverside County Office of Economic Development in partnership with the City of Menifee Office of Economic Development. This month-long showcase has been coordinated by the County of Riverside, city municipalities, and related organizations to provide outreach and bring awareness to the various innovative and entrepreneurial activities and events that are occurring within our communities.
WHEREAS, this work to uplift our community is truly made possible by those who selflessly answer the call to help, whenever and wherever it’s needed. We hereby recognize this month of March in honor of their remarkable service, and we ask everyone to join in their commitment to care for one another; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Menifee, California, does hereby designate the month of April 2025 as “Innovation Month” in the City of Menifee. With this region becoming a hub of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship, it is vital for our communities to embrace, encourage, and support these efforts in order to thrive and provide the highest quality of life for generations to come.
