PCO documents and applicable back-up documentation has been attached for your reference.

ADDITIONAL TIME CLAIMS: THERE WERE SEVERAL RAIN DAYS, TIME-SENSITIVE, AND LONG LEAD ITEMS IN THE PROJECT WHICH REQUIRED DAYS ADDED TO THE CONTRACT. THE EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT DAYS AND THE ASSOCIATED CAUSES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1) 73 RAIN DAYS
2) 15 DAYS -THERE WERE CONFLICTS IN THE DRAWINGS FOR THE BUILDING PAD ELEVATION WHICH REQUIRED RE-GRADING. 3) 13 DAYS - THE CONTRACTOR PLACED THE SEWER LINES IN PER THE DRAWING. HOWEVER, THE POINT OF CONNECTION ELEVATION AT THE SEWER MAIN WAS AT A DIFFERENT ELEVATION THAN SHOWN IN THE PLANS. THIS RESULTED IN REMOVING ALL THE SEWER LINES, BACKFILLING THE TRENCHES, AND REDESIGNING THE SEWER FOR THE NEW ELEVATION. 4) 15 DAYS - THE ORIGINAL BACKUP GENERATOR WAS DESIGNED TO USE DUAL FUEL (PROPANE AND DIESEL), HOWEVER IT WAS REJECTED DUE TO AQMD COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATIONS. THE DESIGNER AND CITY AGREED TO USE A DIESEL FUEL ONLY BACKUP GENERATOR WHICH AFFECTED AREA POWER, CONDUIT LOCATION, AND REQUIR]ED ADDITIONAL INSPECTION. 5) 12 DAYS - SWITCHGEAR CHANGES NEEDED FOR THE BACKUP GENERATOR RELOCATION HAD TO HAVE SCE REVIEW AND APPROVAL BEFORE MOVING FORWARD WITH THE ASSOCIATED ELEMENTS, CAUSING A DELAY. 6) 35 DAYS - APP BAY TRENCH DRAINS NEEDED MORE INFORMATION ON THEIR LAYOUT THAN THE PLANS INDICATED. THE

ARCHITECT PROVIDED THE NEW LOCATIONS HOWEVER, IT TOOK OVER TWO MONTHS TO PROVIDE THAT INFORMATION, AFFECTING THE CRITICAL PATH OF CONSTRUCTION.
7) 35 DAYS - FALL PROTECTION WAS REQUIRED AS A DEFERRED SUBMITTAL. THE CONTRACTOR OFFERED A SUBMITTAL PACKAGE; HOWEVER, THE DESIGN ENGINEER DID NOT PROVIDE AN ANSWER FOR 62 DAYS. THIS DELAYED THE ROOFING OF THE BUILDING. CONSEQUENTLY, THE DRYWALL, LATH, AND PLASTERING WERE DELAYED BECAUSE THE FRAMING HAD TO DRY OUT DUT TO THE RAIN EVENTS. ONLY 35 DAYS ARE AWARDED DUE TO CONCURRENT DELAYS WITH OTHER TIME CLAIMS.
8) 20 DAYS- THE SPACING AND METHOD OF ATTACHMENT OF THE Z BAR AROUND THE WINDOWS WAS SUBMITTED TO THE DESIGN ENGINEER FOR DIRECTION BY THE CONTRACTOR, WHICH WAS NOT ULTIMATELY ANSWERED UNTIL A MONTH LATER. 9) 10 DAYS - CHANGES IN THE FRAMING OF SHEER WALLS, WINDOW LOCATIONS, ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, AND STRUCTURAL STEEL HOLD DOWNS.

Additional Days Requested = 228
ITEM 1) THE ORIGINAL DESIGN PROVIDED FOR MAGNETIC CONNECTIONS FOR THE APP BAY VEHICLE EXHAUST SYSTEM.

HOWEVER, THE FIRE DEPARTMENT USES ONLY SUCTION CONNECTIONS. THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS THEN RETROFITTED WITH THE SUCTION EXHAUST SYSTEM.

ITEM 2) ADDITIONAL CONCRETE CURB WAS ADDED TO THE RIGHT OF WAY AND WAS USED FOR THE BOLLARDS ADDED TO THE CONTRACT TO PROTECT THE SWITH GEAR.

ITEM 3) THE SUBCONTRACTOR FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL WAS NOT SUPPLIED THE TIIMING SHEETS AT THE TIME OF THE INSTALLATION, WHICH NECESSITATED AN ADDITIONAL DAY OF WORK TO INSTALL THE TIMING.

ITEM 4) BUILDING AND SAFETY-REQUIRED TEMPORARY BATTERY-POWERED SAFETY LIGHTING TO BE INSTALLED UNTIL THE GENERATOR ARRIVES AND IS WORKING. THIS IS IN CASE OF A POWER OUTAGE.

ITEM 5) SEVERAL UTILITY VENTS WERE SHOWN ON THE PLANS TO TERMINATE ABOVE THE FIRST ROOF. HOWEVER, BUILDING CODE REQUIRES THAT THEY HAD TO BE ABOVE THE SECOND ROOF. THE CONTRACTOR EXTENDED THE VENTS TO ACCOMMODATE THE BUILDING CODE.

ITEM 6) ADDITIONAL CABLE WAS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION.

ITEM 7) THERE WAS A CHANGE TO THE METER FROM A TYP II TO A TYPE III C AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD.

ITEM 8) THE APP BAY LOCKERS ON THE PLAN DID NOT SHOW THEM WITH DOORS. THIS WAS ADDED DURING THE SUBMITTAL PROCESS.

ITEM 9) THERE WERE BATHROOM FIXTURES THAT WERE NOT PART OF THE CONTRACT THAT THE CITY DIRECTED THE CONTRACTOR INSTALL.

ITEM 10) THE BRASS BACKFLOW DEVICES FOR THE WATER SERVICES WERE NOT PROTECTED BY A BACKFLOW CAGE.PER THE CONTRACT. THE CONTRACTOR WAS DIRECTED TO INSTALL THEM.

ITEM 11) TO PROTECT THE LOCKING GATES FROM ILLEGAL ENTRY, THE CONTRACTOR WAS DIRECTED BY THE CITY TO INSTALL ADDITIONAL STEEL PICKETS TO SECURE THE GATES.
