Project: Holland Road Overcrossing Interstate 215, GIP No 13-03 RE: Final Request for Time Extension and Payment for Delays in Accordance with Section 6-6 of the City of Menifee Special Provisions
Dear Mr. Abuelhassan,
As agreed, Riverside Construction Company, Inc. (RCC) formally request a final time extension and payment for project delays, as outlined in Section 6-6 "Delays and Extensions of Time" of the City of Menifee Special Provisions.
In adherence to Section 6-6.3 "Extension of Time," we formally request a time extension of 143 working days, extending the project substantial completion date to April 30, 2025 (58 compensable delay & 85 concurrent delay). RCC requests payment of 58 days for the delays in line with Section 6-6.5 "Payment for Delays" as specified in the Special Provisions and related Time-Related Overhead (TRO) per Bid Item #50.
The reasons for the compensable delay are as follows:
1. Redesign and modifications to SCE Traffic Signals and Lighting.
2. Redesign of Landscape & Irrigation. Including meter locations & tie-ins revised by EMWD.
3. EMWD additional work including added fire hydrant on Hanover Ln.
4. Redesign for asphalt paving at the intersection of Holland Rd. & Hanover Ln.
