2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the Riverside County Recorder’s Office.

DISCUSSION
The New Quail Valley Fire Station No. 5, CIP Project No. 21-04 (Project) is an approximately 9,000 square foot facility located at 29745 Goetz Road, just south of Vista Way. The new fire station replaced the original Quail Valley Fire Station No. 5, located at the intersection of Goetz Road and Avenida Robles. The new station provides a modernized facility to sustain necessary fire services while supporting additional staff and the area’s growing fire response needs.

On October 19, 2022, the City Council awarded the construction services contract to Act 1 Construction, Inc. (Contractor) in the amount of $8,626,796.57 and approved a total construction budget of $9,540,636. There was a total of ten contract change orders (CCOs) required during construction totaling $280,631.83, which increased the total Contract value to $8,907,428.40, as shown in Table 1 on the following page.

The payment bond would be released upon Project acceptance by the City, and the performance bond would be released one year after the date of recording of the NOC. The City has not received any stop notices that would prevent said releases.
