DISCUSSION
The Menifee Police Department (MPD) was awarded a not-to-exceed amount of $20,000 by the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) for the Every 15 Minutes Program Grant (E15M).

CHP administers several grant programs, including the E15M Grant. The purpose of this grant is to focus on teenage drivers challenging them to think about drinking and drugged driving and the responsibilities of making mature decisions.

The funds received would be used for costs incurred by the MPD during the planning, preparation and implementation of the two-day event. The E15M program would include an on-site staged crash scene held at Heritage High School including student actor portrayed deceased and injured victims and suspects. The actors would be filmed in collaboration with the City and student production staff at sites including Southwest Detention Center, Evans-Brown Mortuary, a mock courtroom, an AMR and Medivac transportation.
