Dear Mr. Cleary and City of Menifee Officials,
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed construction of apartments or homes on the lot located at Menifee and Newport Roads.

City officials and the Mayor frequently speak about providing additional amenities for existing Menifee residents; however, apartment complexes and residential developments continue to be built throughout the city. Adding more housing to this location would further increase traffic and congestion in an already busy area.

We had hoped that this vacant lot, which has sat empty for years, would eventually be developed into shops, restaurants, or perhaps a school—amenities that would directly benefit the surrounding community. Residents on the east side of the 215 Freeway currently have limited access to shopping and dining options, and development that provides these much-needed services would be far more beneficial to the community.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns and my opposition to the proposed residential development.

Sincerely,
Menifee Resident
