Proclamation
WHEREAS, Branch 39, Merced, of the Italian Catholic Federation, ICF, was founded in 1939; and WHEREAS, Branch 39, ICF, works for the benefit of the Merced Community through public service; and WHEREAS, Branch 39, ICF, makes charitable donations to assist with the needs of those less fortunate and to further the research of Thalassemia; and WHEREAS, Branch 39, ICF, provides scholarships to local high school and college students; and WHEREAS, the organization has shown by its actions and good works for the past 90 years that it is a significant asset to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Merced wishes to acknowledge the 90th anniversary of the Italian Catholic Federation, Branch 39; and NOW, THEREFORE, I, MATT SERRATTO, Mayor of the City of Merced, on behalf of the City Council, do hereby proclaim July 13, 2022 the 90th Anniversary of the Italian Catholic Federation, Branch 39 and express thanks for all the years of service in the community.
