Describe Concerns At This Location:
The Bus stops 50 times a day at the bus stop currently located on K Street, north of 18th Street. There is approximately 1.5 parking spaces available for buses to approach and arrive at the bus stop. The request is to increase the bus stop space by red curbing the parking space just behind the current red curb to prevent vehicles from parking so close to the actual bus stop. This extra parking space would allow for all 50 stops the bus makes on a regular weekday to be done so with ease, and without concern for clipping a car, or with the bus tail sticking out into the lane of traffic. If it is possible to extend the curb/sidewalk so that passengers boarding through rear doors have concrete to walk on, and so that buses are not blocking the alleyway when waiting at the stop.
