REQUEST FOR DISPLAY OF COMMEMORATIVE FLAG FORM
NAME/ORGANIZATION: Justine Giacalone Rogina
TODAY'S DATE: 1/5/23
-
REASON FOR REQUEST FOR COMMEMORATIVE FLAG:_
For any months without requests please consider flying the different flags of our Armed Forces branches. Armed Forces day is celebrated in May, so that is the month this request is for, but please note there are six branches:
Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy, Marines, Space Force.
This day pays tribute to the men and women who serve in the United States military.
"Our Servicemen and women are serving throughout the world as guardians of peace- many of them away from their homes, their friends and their families. They are visible evidence of our determination to meet any threat to the peace with measured strength and high resolve. They are also evidence of a harsh but inescapable truth--that the survival of freedom requires great cost and commitment, and great personal sacrifice." President John F. Kennedy, 1963 - Armed Forces Day History CITY FACILITY REQUESTED: Bob Heart Square Flag Pole
