FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR
LEGAL SERVICES
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made and entered into this _1 day of_Novsmßen, 2021, by and between the City of Merced, a California Charter Municipal Corporation ("City"), and Lozano Smith, LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership ("Firm").
WHEREAS, City desires to engage Firm for specialized legal services related to employer-employee relations; and
WHEREAS, City and Firm have previously entered into an Agreement for Legal Services ("Agreement") dated April 5, 2021; and,
WHEREAS, City and Firm desire to amend said Agreement to provide for additional compensation in connection with said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto, in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter recited, agree as follows:
Section 17, "ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION," is hereby added to the Agreement to read as follows:
"SECTION 17. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION.
City shall pay to Firm the not to exceed additional sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000), bringing the
total contracted amount to $200,000."
3. Except as herein amended, the Agreement dated April 5, 2021, shali remain in full force and effect.
