2 Firm Description
Crawford & Bowen Planning, Inc. was formed to satisfy a need in the Central Valley and surrounding areas for specialized environmental planning services. Our mission is to provide excellent environmental consulting at the most efficient level, while maintaining the highest standards for quality and legal compliance.

Our firm specializes in CEQA/NEPA documentation , farmland conversion studies, regulatory compliance , State Water Board environmental compliance and Caltrans environmental processing. To supplement our services, we have long -standing relationships with sp ecialized firms who provide biological, traffic, cultural, water and noise consulting services. These individual services can be provided on an as -needed basis under the management and oversight of Crawford & Bowen. This provides our clients with a full service environmental team.

Having come from two of the largest planning firms in the Central Valley, the principals of Crawford & Bowen have prepared a wide variety of environmental documents over the last 20 years. Our experience includes providing environmental compliance for colleges, K-12 schools, bridge replacements, road improvements, wastewater treatment plant expansions, large-scale residential and commercial developments, industrial parks, water infrastructure projects, water transfer projects, poli cy and planning documents, and a host of other project types.

What makes us different is that we are the only specialized environmental planning firm in the area. In addition, we are able to provide efficiencies that some of the larger CEQA/engineering/surveying firms are not able to offer, as we are not overburdened with corporate meetings, staff management, marketing, etc. As such, our clients don’t pay steep overhead prices, yet they still receive principal-level work product.

Because environmental planning is all we do, we are able to provide our clients with focused expertise and cutting-edge work projects. Our firm is constantly working to stay up to date with the most recent regulatory and legal updates and since we’ve been working in the area for ov er a decade, we have established excellent working relationships with most local jurisdictions and regulatory agencies.
