Dear Mr. Wegley:
The bid opening for the above-referenced Project wa s held July 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with a total of three bids received. The basis of award for the Project w as the combination of Bid Schedules A, B and C for the Base Bid only.
We have reviewed the proposal package submitted by Thompson Builders Corporation and have the following comments:
1. Math error for Bid Schedule A Item #8 and summat ion error for Bid Schedule A as noted on the attached bid tabulation.
We have reviewed the proposal package submitted by Bobo Construction, Inc. and have the following comments:
1. Unit price “in words” reflects total price figur es instead of unit price “in figures.
2. Proposal package was incomplete.
a. Missing SOV for building.
We have reviewed the proposal package submitted by Diede Construction, Inc. And have the following comments:
1. Proposal package was incomplete.
a. Missing signed Addendum 01.
b. Missing SOV for building.
2. Numerous math errors in bid tabs A through C as noted on the attached bid tabulation.
Upon review of the bid package submitted for this P roject and pending receipt of the Buy American waiver information and documentation, we recommend obtaining concurrence with the FAA for the District to award the Contract for the subject Proj ect to Thompson Builders Corporation in the amount of $15,419,685.63 (with correction) for the combined B ase Bid totals for Bid Schedules A, B, and C, Our recommendation is based on our analysis of Thompson Builders Corporation being the only responsive Michael Wegley
