I am 23 years old. I'm a licensed esthetician and a future returning college student. I was told about this opportunity by a friend who is already on the personnel board and became interested because I'd like to know what's going on in the community more and try to be more involved. I think it would be an extracurricular activity that would also look good on my resume.

I am self-employed at La Bella Spa in Atwater, Ca. I've volunteered at Andre House of Hospitality in Phoenix, AZ feeding the homeless. I also ran for Miss Merced in 2018.
What is your understanding of the roles and responsibilities of this Board or Commission? My understanding of the roles and responsibilities of this Board is that members will adopt, amend, or repeal civil service rules and regulations, hear appeals of any person in the classified service relative to any suspension, demotion or dismissal, and make any investigation which they may consider desirable concerning the administration of personnel in the municipal service and report their findings to the City Council and the City Manager.
Do you have experience or special knowledge pertaining to this Board or Commission? No I do not, but I'm hoping to gain experience and knowledge through this.
