FIRST AMENDMENT TO
LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT is
made and entered into this day ot , 2024, by and between the City of Merced, a California Charter Municipal Corporation ("City"), and Prentice|Long, PC, ("Law Firm").
WHEREAS, City and Law Firm have previously entered into a Legal Services Agreement ("Agreement") dated February 20, 2024, for a total not to exceed sum of $75,000; and,
WHEREAS, City and Law Firm desire to amend said Agreement to provide for $40,000 of additional compensation.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto, in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter recited, agree as follows:
1. Section 2.9, "ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION," is hereby added to the Agreement to read as follows:
"SECTION 2.9. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION.
City shall pay to Law Firm the not to exceed additional sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) for work
performed under the Agreement in accordance with the
rates set forth in the Agreement dated February 20, 2024, bringing the total compensation amount of the
Agreement to $115,000."
2. Except as herein amended, the Agreement dated February 20, 2024, shall remain in full force and effect.
