RE: Board Appointment
Dear Mr. Scott McBride;
This letter is to request that the City of Merced appoint a Trustee to the Merced County Mosquito Abatement District Board. The vacancy has been open since May of 2023 and has yet to be filled.
To ensure accurate representation on the Merced County Mosquito Abatement District Board please appoint a new board member ASAP. The City of Merced may appoint a willing citizen or a city council member.
Please submit a copy of your minute order or resolution of appointment to the District Office at your earliest convenience to insure continuous representation.

The purpose of the District is to provide area-wide mosquito control, prevent mosquito-borne disease, and reduce economic loss and discomfort from pestiferous mosquitoes.
