GIVEN that sealed bids for
the work, shown on. the
plans entitled:

G Street Railing Repair
will be received at the Of-
fice of the Purchasing
Agent of the City of
Merced, 2525 “O” Street,
Merced, California, until
2:00 pm on March 28th,
2024, at which time they
will be publicly opened,
read, and recorded.
A map showing the loca-
tion of the Purchasing De-
partment is provided in the
Appendix.
N-2 DESCRIPTION OF
THE WORK: The work to
be performed includes, but
is not limited to, the recon-
Struction of approximately
30 lineal feet of metal
bridge railing and electrical
conduit along the north
side of Bear Creek Bridge
crossing over Bear Creek.
Such other items or details,
not mentioned above, that
are required by the Draw-
ings and Technical Specifi-
cations Plans, City of
Merced Standard Specifi-
cations and Typical De-
tails, and the Special
Conditions shall be per-
formed, placed, con-
structed, or installed. The Project is located at the
Bear Creek Bridge cross-
ing over Bear Creek in the City of Merced. Bear Creek
bridge carries G street.
Bids are required for the
entire work described
herein.
NUMBER
the right after opening bids
to reject any or all bids, to
waive any informality (non-
responsiveness) in a bid,
or to make award to the lo-
west responsive, respon-
sible bidder (as determined
per the Instructions to Bid-
ders) and reject all other
bids, as it may best serve

a condition of award, the
successful bidder shall fur-
nish a payment bond and a
performance bond on the
City’s forms each in the full
amount of the contract
price. The successful bid-
der will also be required to
submit proof of insurance

FICATION: The Contractor
shall possess a valid Class

FORNIA WAGE RATE
AND LABOR CODE RE-
QUIREMENTS: The Con-
tractor shall pay the
general prevailing rate of
per diem wages as deter-
mined by the Director of In-
dustrial Relations (DIR) of
the State of California for
the locality where the work
is to be performed. A copy
of said wage rates is on file
at the office of the City.
The Contractor and any
subcontractors shall pay
not less than said specified
rates and shall post a copy
of said wage rates at the
