Subject: Request for In-Kind Services Donation – 2025 Downtown Christmas Parade Dear City of Merced,
The Merced Christmas Parade Committee is excited to once again host the annual Downtown Merced Christmas Parade, a cherished community event that brings joy and holiday spirit to our city. To make this year's parade a resounding success, we respectfully request the City of Merced's valuable support through an in-kind services donation.
We are seeking assistance with the following essential services:
● Christmas Parade Banner: Placement of a banner across "G" Street for one week prior to the Christmas Parade to announce the event.
● Electricity: Provision of electricity in Bob Hart Square and the Downtown District (power poles) for our Christmas decorations, including the magnificent Downtown Christmas Tree.
● Downtown Street Cleaning: Thorough cleaning of the downtown streets before and after the parade to ensure a pristine environment for attendees. ● Special Event Refuse Service: Refuse collection services along Main Street during the event to manage waste effectively.
● Police Services: Support from the Merced Police Department for street closures and barricade management, ensuring the safety and smooth flow of the parade. ● Bob Hart Square: Use of Bob Hart Square during the day of the parade.
