At least 24 hours prior to a scheduled Special Meeting, a complete agenda packet is available for review on the City ’s website at www .cityofmerced.gov or at the City Clerk ’s Office, 678 W. 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340. All public records relating to an open session item that are distributed to a majority of the Council will be available for public inspection at the City Clerk ’s Office during regular business hours. Spanish and Hmong translations are available as well as hearing devices for meetings held in the Council Chamber. At every special meeting, the legislative body shall provide the public with an opportunity to address the body on any item described in the notice before or during consideration of that item.

REPORT IN BRIEF
Qualified District Two Candidates will present oral presentations regarding their application for appointment to the current District Two Council Seat Vacancy followed by a Q&A period with City Council members and then closing remarks by Candidates.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion appointing a qualified elector of the City of Merced to the District Two Council seat vacancy to serve until the first Tuesday following the next General Municipal Election and until a successor is elected and qualified.
